About The Position

Maintenance Repair Technician Fleet Solutions’ team of skilled technicians overhaul units in the shop and travel the world to perform troubleshooting and repairs to naval ships where they are stationed. While other Curtiss-Wright business units and other manufacturers design and manufacture new products for naval applications, Fleet Solutions’ technicians provide the installation, start-up, and maintenance of the components and systems. Location: Chula Vista, CA Hourly Rate: $30.00 to $36.00 Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in CA. Requirements

  • Must be US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Work well with general supervision
  • Experience in rotating equipment usage

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting tasks
  • Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
  • To diagnose and correct all malfunctions in the most economical manner
  • Using calipers to measure components
  • Travelling to client sites for repair & maintenance (up to 25% as required)
