We are currently looking for a Maintenance Reliability summer intern at our Schenectady, NY office.   The 2026 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will run from June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026. Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s  degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
  • Candidates must be available to work full-time beginning on June 1, 2025 – August 14, 2025
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills specifically in Microsoft office
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Agility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Fluent in English

Responsibilities

  • Work with Maintenance Technicians and other interns to complete assignments.
  • Collect information from work orders to analyse data of the equipment.
  • Create lockout tag out, try out procedure as part of the maintenance safe work.
  • Work with Maintenance to install QR codes on all equipment.
  • Involvement with lean or 5S events on site.
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions for Maintenance department.
