About The Position

Applies coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings and other structures.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Understanding of TPM and similar continuous improvement methodologies.
Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiply projects simultaneously and delegate assignments to others.
Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the painting within SWC. This is included but not limited to: Removing old paint Prepping area for paint Painting areas including Main building walls Office areas Production walls Blue hallway floor and walls, Outside building if necessary Equipment which includes pump motors/boilers/ other miscellaneous equipment
Responsible for ordering and maintaining stock of paint and paint tools
Completing work orders as assigned by Projects Team Lead
Responsible for all Tile work within SWC. Includes Removing old/damaged tile Sanitizing area if necessary Prepping area for new tile Setting tile Grouting tile Maintaining stock of tile and tile equipment
Assisting maintenance/projects team in other areas as directed by Projects Team Lead.
Utilizes GPS processes, driving zero losses and upholds the culture of Southwest Cheese non-negotiables.
Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct.
Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates. (Food Safety Modernization Act- FSMA, Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)
