Turner Industries Group, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join their team in Norco, LA. This non-exempt Planner position is responsible for preparing comprehensive estimates for assigned projects and defining project plans and specifications, performing routine duties in line with established policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum four (4) years to five (5) years of field experience and/or education in construction technology
  • Construction planning experience required
  • Must have Pipe/Mechanical Planner experience
  • Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Able to plan job tasks and job durations into a work schedule
  • May require Turner qualifications for proprietary software
  • Post offer drug screen and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Group, LLC. Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures
  • Estimates worker-hours and materials required to complete the job
  • Reviews specifications, drawings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
  • Prepares estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work
  • Maintains files of working documents and back-up for estimate figures
  • Follows contracts as assigned - may include estimating extra work items, change orders, credits, procuring material, etc.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
