If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Planner II to join our team, playing a critical role in managing the flow of materials throughout the product lifecycle. TA – Use if Production Planner business title Are you detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled in production planning? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! As a Production Planner II, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing operations by developing and managing detailed work instructions that guide the production process. You will collaborate with engineering, quality control, and production teams to translate engineering designs into executable instructions within our Manufacturing Execution System (MES). This role is essential for maintaining production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field of study and typically 2+ years of relevant experience
  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Relevant experience must be in a similar role or technical position such as structural or electrical/avionics technician or quality control inspector
  • Experience in performing or interpreting installations using engineering drawings, schematics, and/or technical documentation
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and interpretation or creation of work instructions
  • Exposure to engineering design change control processes
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Nice To Haves

  • A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of aviation maintenance regulations and standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in maintenance planning software and tools.
  • Strong project management skills, including master schedule building and work flow creation and management.
  • Experience in record auditing and maintaining data accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Experience in an aviation maintenance planning role or a related field is preferred.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely availability of resources and parts.
  • Assist in tracking and scheduling routine and non-routine maintenance activities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive aircraft maintenance programs.
  • Create and update detailed technical task cards for maintenance activities.
  • Manage configuration records and ensure data accuracy.
  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and maintenance teams to ensure the availability of necessary resources.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and improve maintenance processes.
  • Develop and manage master schedules and work flows for maintenance projects.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide training and guidance as needed to less experience team mates.
  • Participate in audits and inspections as required.
  • Conduct record auditing to maintain data integrity and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Planning Manager.
