Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of Proven experience as a commercial or residential painter, preferably in a hotel or facilities setting.
  • Valid state driver’s license required.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, particularly in handling specialized surfaces or finishes.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting safety rules, maintenance manuals, and equipment instructions.
  • Comfort working with computers and Windows-based software systems.
  • Safely operate, clean, and maintain a range of painting tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, and pumps.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and written with team members, leaders and guests required.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and remain outdoors for extended periods as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, mixes, matches, primes, sands, seals, patches and paints furniture, canvas, walls, floors, doors, cabinets, building surfaces and fixtures of all types of painting materials such as varnish, lacquer, shellac, enamel, latex, epoxy, water-proof and heat resistant finishes.
  • Tapes, flushes, repairs and applies texturing, wallpaper and acoustic layers on a variety of surfaces and adjusts colors when necessary.
  • Operates, cleans and maintains all painting equipment including brush, roll, sprayers and pumps, etc.
  • Safely stores and labels all material.
  • Responds to maintenance/complaint/guest requests throughout the hotel and grounds
  • Other duties as assigned.
