About The Position

The Maintenance Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all maintenance activities within our non-union beverage manufacturing facility. This position serves as the central point of coordination between production, maintenance technicians, engineering, and third-party contractors to facilitate timely repairs, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and tracking maintenance work orders, managing spare parts and inventory systems, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. By maintaining detailed documentation and leveraging CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), this role ensures minimal equipment downtime and supports operational excellence. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, proactive communication, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • Experience with food manufacturing, and in steam related equipment, Lean Manufacturing and HACCP desirable preferred
  • Strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting highly desired
  • Experience with pumps, piping, instrumentation equipment, welding, use of hoists, cranes, and fine measurement devices is a plus
  • Minimum 4 years maintenance experience preferably an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to ensure understanding of written procedures, safety instructions, technical documentation, and verbal communications
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and use of weights and measures. Must be comfortable using a calculator
  • Familiarity with basic computer systems and control interfaces – Ultimo experience a plus
  • Basic understanding of food production and food safety principles is a plus
  • Team-oriented attitude; respectful, approachable, honest, dependable, and adaptable to change. Capable of resolving conflicts professionally

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, bending, stooping, squatting, and using hands for detailed tasks
  • Physically capable of performing tasks such as lifting, climbing, and using hand and power tools, including pallet jacks, scales, ladders, and standard material handling and cleaning equipment
  • Capable of safely lifting up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day; ability to handle heavier items with proper lifting equipment or team-assisted techniques to ensure safety
  • Ability to work in elevated positions, at up to 50 feet and using proper safety precautions
  • Must be able to work in limited or cramped spaces and extend arms into machinery for inspection, cleaning, or maintenance tasks, while following all established safety protocols
  • Employees must be able to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment that may include exposure to odors, dust, moderate noise levels, and fluctuations in temperature and ventilation.
  • Work environment may involve exposure to inclement weather.
  • Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times, which may include but is not limited to: safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, hairnets, uniforms, and face shields, as required by specific job duties and safety protocols.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), allergen control, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements so that we make consistently safe, quality products.
  • Ensure the presence of visitors, contractors, and customers are documented on each visit in and out of the facility to maintain good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense/food security and HACCP controls.
  • Report all food safety and quality issues to management immediately.
  • Partner with colleagues across all functions to share knowledge, skills, and information regarding quality and food safety.
  • Adhere to all health and safety work practices.
  • Exhibit an understanding of quality and food safety standards and be able to speak about the Finlays quality and food safety system and your role in it.
  • Handle customer complaints in a timely and professional manner so that the customer is put first, always.
  • Participate fully in Finlays programs that drive continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee external Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools to accurately calculate raw material and packaging needs in support of scheduled production
  • Execute end-to-end material ordering processes, including order creation, tracking, expediting, and receipt verification/confirmation, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials to support production continuity
  • Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and carriers. Proactively address concerns and foster a collaborative approach to service and performance improvements
  • Perform cycle counts of spare parts as directed
  • Investigate and resolve order discrepancies related to product quality, quantity, condition upon receipt, or delivery timelines (non-OTD shipments). Ensure timely notification and escalation to relevant supplier contacts and internal stakeholders
  • Obtain quotes and any pertinent details needed to create and route approved maintenance related purchase requests to purchasing / accounts-payable
  • Act as a key liaison between suppliers and internal teams. Promptly notify Production, Planning, and Supply Chain personnel of any supply disruptions or material shortages that could impact scheduled manufacturing or maintenance
  • Partner closely with Sourcing/Procurement and Planning/Scheduling teams to implement changes related to formulations, ingredients, or vendor shifts. Ensure updates are reflected accurately in MRP systems and planning tools
  • Regularly review raw material and packaging inventory levels to maintain optimal stock. Identify and eliminate excess or obsolete inventory to support cost control and space efficiency goals
  • Assist in the rollout and integration of system-related enhancements, including MRP upgrades, scanning and inventory management processes, and work order processing improvements
  • After hours/critical parts support as needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
