About The Position

In this role, you will work Day Shift, 7AM-3PM. The Maintenance Mechanical & E&I Technician is: Responsible for all facets of maintenance repair, including those related to plant system instrumentation. Responsible for establishing calibration documentation and ensuring that instrumentation is maintained within the design and set point parameters necessary to function properly. Diagnoses and repairs complex electrical equipment, including motors, switches, switchboards, electrical mechanisms, automated machines, controls, panels, relays, circuit breakers, communication systems and alarms. Responsible for the transfer of technical knowledge as related to the growth and development of the shift maintenance technicians. Responsible for updating and/or red-line changes to technical schematics and documentation to reflect changes made to the equipment. Locate and diagnose failures, replace defective components, and perform basic troubleshooting using standard equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions. Repairs, troubleshoots, corrects and maintains machinery including: centrifugal & diaphragm pumps; mechanical systems; hydraulic and pneumatic problems on all facility and production equipment. Fabricate and repair piping including measure, cut, thread, assemble, and install. Participate in special projects/functions including; formal and hands on technical training for operations and maintenance personnel, emergency and scheduled maintenance coverage, and the development of special written procedures/programs. Support all initiatives and goals established by the plant leadership team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • In lieu of a degree, must have 4+ years verifiable work experience in the electronics and instrumentation field or 6+ years in a maintenance job role.
  • Must have prior knowledge of AC/DC drives and electrical equipment.

  • Must be able to lift / push / pull up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate of Science Degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline with 2+ years verifiable work experience.
  • Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO or related experience.
  • Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Google Sheets/Docs, Microsoft Office, and function specific software.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Skilled in interfacing effectively with cross-functional groups.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Skilled in working from blueprints, circuit diagrams and schematics
  • Working knowledge of methods and procedures used in performing evaluations on all electrical apparatus using ammeters, meggers, temperature gauges etc.
  • Proven experience in completing moderately complex technical assignments without immediate supervision.
