About The Position

To provide maintenance services to the various Agency homes and locations. To ensure a safe environment for all residing and working in these facilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in building maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Excellent communication skills and basic computer usage skills.
• CPR certification required.
• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
• Valid, clean NYS Driver's License

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of trade experience preferred (i.e. plumbing, electrical, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Provide skills to maintain building components which include but are not limited to carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, mobility equipment, fire and security systems.
• Assure that all maintenance work performed by self are completed in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform task necessary to complete routine and preventative maintenance work orders as assigned.
• Ensure that all documentation, purchase requisitions and work orders are accurate, complete and timely.
• Monitor agency for unsafe conditions and correct or report any found immediately.
• All in house projects must be completed in an efficient manner.
• Maintain work areas, tools and equipment as agreed.
• Follow all department/agency policies and procedures.
• Provide person centered individual attention to all consumers.
