The Maintenance Mechanic role involves installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing industrial machinery, completing work orders, identifying and solving maintenance problems, and assisting with capital projects. The position requires proactive identification and resolution of mechanical issues, instrument calibrations, routine preventative maintenance, and support for the Reliability Technician in managing parts and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs industrial machinery such as pumps, agitator gear boxes, steam boilers
  • Complete work orders in all aspects of plant maintenance and assist other team members with maintenance work as required
  • Identify and solve key maintenance problems
  • Assist with capital projects as required
  • Proactively identify and address mechanical issues
  • Solve complex maintenance problems
  • Perform instrument calibrations
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance inspections and checks
  • Assist the Reliability Technician in maintaining an adequate supply of parts and equipment to efficiently address work orders and maintaining the reliability of key equipment
  • Keep records of completed Preventative Maintenance work orders
  • Actively participate in plant programs such as BBS, housekeeping, area inspections, safety team
  • Required to be on call 1 weekend per month
