About The Position
Under general supervision, performs pro-active maintenance, repairs and inspections to facility and equipment in assigned areas.
Requirements
- High School or Vo-Tech Graduate or equivalent experience
- Valid NJ Driver's License
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods with the physical strength to lift heavy objects, carts, or items frequently
Nice To Haves
- Building maintenance and repair experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Exhibits basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
- Performs general repair on mechanical systems
- Ability to independently plan work assignments and effectively works with others as needed
- Performs preventative maintenance and documents records accordingly
- Performs basic repairs to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hospital beds and stretchers and documents accordingly
- Orders supplies materials and maintenance
- Tests equipment for proper operation and working condition
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
