Mechanic, Machine Position Summary: To analyze, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic malfunctions on a wide variety of CNC machinery and misc. facility equipment.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: High school diploma preferred, formal technical training is a plus.
  • EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 1-year documented experience in a maintenance skilled trade related to the intended assignment maintenance experience, or apprenticeship, in a related additional applicable trade or skill set
  • Ability to read and write the English language.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair a wide variety of CNC machinery and misc. facility equipment. Mechanic must be able to apply hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical expertise and troubleshooting aptitude to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Performs preventive and predictive maintenance procedures on equipment and reports findings regarding additional work and repairs to leadership.
  • Coordinates and/or performs assigned work. Works with contractors and other maintenance personnel, if necessary, to ensure repairs are made properly and with minimum impact on operations.
  • Maintains open communications with supervision and customer department personnel. Documents all activities and departmental procedural requirements
  • Performs other duties as required.
