In many parts of the world, they become a waste problem, as they are left to degrade in landfill sites – or are incinerated, emitting large amounts of CO2. Life insurance is provided at no cost to you at 1x your annual salary with a $50,000 max Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability will be provided and paid 100% by Genan You begin earning PTO (Paid Time Off) the 1 st of the month following 90 days of employment. It is accrued on a bi-weekly basis with a total accrual of 15 days for the first year. Pro-rated according to your start date. You may elect additional life insurance and Critical Injury insurance at your own expense for you and your dependents. Prescription Safety Glasses and protective footwear are also reimbursed at set amounts annually and necessary PPE provided by Genan The Maintenance Mechanic supports the plant in the production of product, by performing maintenance, repair, installation, dismantle and/or removal of machinery.

Requirements

Ability to read and understand written operating instructions and work order requirements.
Ability to operate all department equipment safely
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
Ability to maintain customer focus
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to follow corporate standards and procedures
High school or Equivalent
Technical training
3+ years of experience as Maintenance Mechanic
Use of hand and power tools and measuring instruments
Knowledge of how to safely unwire and wire a 3-phase motor
30 days on the job training with experienced Maintenance Mechanic
Safety policy and procedural training
Ongoing or annual training required by Company
Must pass pulmonary fit test for proper respiratory protection

Nice To Haves

Welding experience a plus
Previous experience in similar field a plus

Responsibilities

Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
Effectively respond to equipment failures to minimize downtime
Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
Performs scheduled preventative maintenance for all equipment as needed
Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting of production machines
Light electrical troubleshooting and repair to include motors, sensors, and light machine wiring
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
Comply with OSHA safety and health rules
