What this job involves: The Maintenance Mechanic responsible for keeping our facilities operating smoothly and safely. This role combines hands-on technical work with preventive maintenance, ensuring our clients enjoy optimal building conditions and uninterrupted operations. What your day to day will look like: Daily responsibilities will include: performing preventive maintenance and responding to repair work orders across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The Maintenance Mechanic will conduct facility inspections and report on conditions that could impact client operations. Interior maintenance tasks like hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture will be part of your routine, along with assisting the operations team with building and equipment maintenance. You'll move office furniture and equipment as needed, replace lighting and ballasts, and maintain HVAC systems by cleaning coils and changing filters and belts. Safety compliance is central to your role - you'll complete hazard assessments, maintain clean and safe work areas, and stay current with all required safety training. Administrative duties include submitting daily P-card receipts, updating work order status in real-time using CMMS systems like 360 Facility, and performing vehicle safety inspections. You'll escalate issues to customers and management promptly and attend required work and safety meetings.

Requirements

  • Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical maintenance tasks
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Demonstrated ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
  • Strong communication skills for reporting and escalation purposes
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance requests
  • Commitment to following all safety procedures and protocols

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance or building operations
  • Experience with CMMS systems, particularly 360 Facility or similar platforms
  • Technical certification or trade school training in relevant disciplines
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems maintenance and repair
  • Experience working in commercial office environments
  • Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations
  • Previous experience with preventive maintenance programs
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Customer service experience in professional settings
  • Forklift or equipment operation certification
