About The Position

Bongards’ Creameries is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Mechanic based out of our Humboldt facility. The maintenance mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing cheese-making machinery, related systems and facilities.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Excellent Math and Reading skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
• Electrical experience with DC, AC (up to 480V 3 phase) highly desired
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of PLCs, Ladder Logic
• Knowledge of Schematics
• Knowledge of LOTO Procedures
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
• Previous maintenance experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred

Nice To Haves

• Electrical experience with DC, AC (up to 480V 3 phase) highly desired
• Previous maintenance experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test equipment to diagnose problem(s)
• Perform preventative maintenance on AGV, GIA and Robotic Palletizer equipment
• Disassemble defective equipment to find root cause
• Install new or refurbished part(s)
• Repair or replace components for hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic equipment
• Record repairs made and inventory used
• Clean and lubricate moving components of equipment
• Performs work on machines according to Preventative Maintenance Schedule
• Maintains detailed log of work completed, materials used, time spent, etc.
• Must report all Food Safety and quality concerns to immediate supervisor or designated replacement
• Must be comfortable to work indoor/outdoor, cold/warm environments, crawl spaces and elevated areas
• Other duties as assigned
• Must adhere to and follow all Safety, GMP, other quality guidelines
• Must report all food safety problems to immediate supervisor or designated replacement
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
• Ability to spend long periods of time standing
