About The Position

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC Loparex is a leading, global manufacturer of silicone release liners, used in a wide variety of pressure sensitive adhesive applications is looking for a seasoned Maintenance Mechanic for our night shift. This position will work 5pm to 5am on a 2-2-3 schedule. Loparex offers a competitive pay and benefits package. Pay will be based on experience.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 3 to 5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
• Mechanical and electrical knowledge beneficial
• Ability to communicate with both internal and external customers.
• Instrumental experience in troubleshooting equipment or machinery.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of polycoating, silicone coating, slitting and printing helpful
• Solid Microsoft Office and Math skills

Responsibilities

• Install and repair assigned equipment, including bearings, rollers, chains and belt drives, machined components, etc.
• Perform basic milling, grinding, drilling, rigging and carpentry duties.
• Diagnose machine mechanical problems or failures; make necessary adjustments or repairs and replace/modify worn or defective parts.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
• Communicate with prior and oncoming shift personnel regarding status of runs, problems, etc.
