Anticipated Licensed Professional Maintenance Mechanic 2026 - 2027 School Year Building & Grounds Department DESCRIPTION Anticipated, Maintenance HVAC Technician POSITION SUMMARY Licensed Professional / Maintenance Mechanics shall maintain and repair the physical plant, mechanical systems and electrical systems as assigned and as designated by their valid license. Under their valid professional license, perform tasks requiring the certificate. When necessary, use their valid license to purchase products that are not available to the general public. Maintain, repair or install; heating, air conditioning and ventilation equipment; plumbing and utility systems; controls and regulators both electronic and mechanical; masonry, tiling both interior and exterior; flooring, cabinetry and carpentry; roofing and waterproofing; glazing and calking, as assigned. Perform interior and exterior painting. Remove, dismantle and assist in equipment repairs to be made by manufacturer or contractor. Be proficient in the use of hand, power and bench tools including, but not limited to, grinders, saws, drills, drill press, metal working tools and welding. Build additions or remodel existing structures. Drive and operates; vans, trucks, dump truck, bucket truck and heavy equipment. Assist in determining the parts and/or materials required to make installations or repairs. In cases of emergencies or personnel shortages, may be assigned to Grounds of Custodial positions. To the best of their ability, be available for emergencies outside of the normal workday. Performs other duties as assigned.
