Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED
  • Knowledge of pipe fitting, electrical wiring, and general mechanics
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 55 lbs. and stand on feet for long periods of time
  • Must be familiar and thoroughly experienced in all facets of maintenance:
  • Mechanical: Pumps (positive displacement and centrifugal), drives (gearbox, belt, chain, hydraulic, couplings, motor-electric, motors-air, bearings, shafts, nuts, bolts, taps, and dies.
  • Electrical: High voltage 460 volt 3 phase, motor controls, low voltage (120V power and control wiring), AC and DC systems. Computer-controlled systems.
  • Utilities: Piping (water, air, and steam) Boilers - understand Steam condensate system - tracing, coils, traps, and pumps. Air Compressor system - including filters, regulators, dryers, and lubricators. HVAC - air handling, blowers, dust collectors.
  • Vehicles: Lift trucks - electric EE rated, battery, and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and service all site equipment, buildings, and furnishings.
  • Communicate issues with the Maintenance team verbally and through email.
  • Check and repair critical equipment.
  • Check cooling towers, mills, chillers, air compressor, boiler, etc.
  • Preventative Maintenance through inspection, lubrication, filter replacement, cleaning etc
  • Must be able to complete an OSHA Respiratory Fit Test
