Requirements
- High School diploma/GED
- Knowledge of pipe fitting, electrical wiring, and general mechanics
- Must be capable of lifting up to 55 lbs. and stand on feet for long periods of time
- Must be familiar and thoroughly experienced in all facets of maintenance:
- Mechanical: Pumps (positive displacement and centrifugal), drives (gearbox, belt, chain, hydraulic, couplings, motor-electric, motors-air, bearings, shafts, nuts, bolts, taps, and dies.
- Electrical: High voltage 460 volt 3 phase, motor controls, low voltage (120V power and control wiring), AC and DC systems. Computer-controlled systems.
- Utilities: Piping (water, air, and steam) Boilers - understand Steam condensate system - tracing, coils, traps, and pumps. Air Compressor system - including filters, regulators, dryers, and lubricators. HVAC - air handling, blowers, dust collectors.
- Vehicles: Lift trucks - electric EE rated, battery, and hydraulics.
Responsibilities
- Repair and service all site equipment, buildings, and furnishings.
- Communicate issues with the Maintenance team verbally and through email.
- Check and repair critical equipment.
- Check cooling towers, mills, chillers, air compressor, boiler, etc.
- Preventative Maintenance through inspection, lubrication, filter replacement, cleaning etc
- Must be able to complete an OSHA Respiratory Fit Test
