Maintenance mechanics will install, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment and fixtures. This person would conduct general maintenance activities primarily on machinery and related equipment. Maintain repair and maintenance records. Troubleshoot problems and escalate the most complex issues to senior coworkers. This is a full time position 2nd shift position (1PM-9PM M-F) operating in our Naples, FL facility. This role reports to our facilities manager and requires someone who is self sufficient and can operate with little to no supervision.

Requirements

  • Work a full-time shift schedule with regular attendance and ability to work overtime if needed.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction, and as a team member.
  • Reading comprehension skills to understand written specifications, instructions, and procedures.
  • Maintain facility and equipment in working conditions to acceptable levels of operating accuracy, safety and cleanliness.
  • Respond to building and equipment emergencies/outages and perform quality checks.
  • Follow ISO 9001 policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of electricity, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and general building maintenance (structural, plumbing and carpentry).
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot equipment, machinery and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-speed production equipment such as braiding and respool machines.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machinery in a timely manner.
  • Become proficient with the Work Order Management system.
  • Understand and follow company Lockout/Tag Out procedure.
  • Observe safety procedures and conduct; use equipment and materials properly.
  • Subscribe to and practice 5S principles, procedures, and guidelines, JIT, and process improvement.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests by utilizing a variety of test equipment and hand tools.
  • Maintain facility and equipment in working conditions to acceptable levels of operating accuracy, safety and cleanliness.
  • Respond to building and equipment emergencies/outages and perform quality checks.
  • Follow ISO 9001 policies, procedures, and work instructions.
