About The Position

Responsible for performing daily maintenance tasks in accordance with established procedures, ensuring the continuous operation of plant equipment and systems. The role includes supporting the lead mechanic, assisting with equipment repairs, and contributing to preventative maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or technical certification in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Minimum 1-5 years’ industrial maintenance experience and industrial maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to successfully interface with customers, associates, and the community.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow complex requests, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Regular and reliable attendance. Required to be on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks on plant equipment, machinery, and building infrastructure, as directed by the Shop Foreman.
  • Assist lead mechanics in complex repairs and maintenance activities, demonstrating proficiency in equipment troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Participate in training programs as outlined by the Maintenance Operations Procedures (MOPs), and continually improve skillset under the guidance of senior mechanics.
  • Maintain certification on all current MOPs, with the exception of M003, M005, M008, M011, M012, M014, M018, M019, M021, M022, M026, M027, and M032.
  • Demonstrate expertise in all Level 3 tasks as outlined in the attached task list, performing work efficiently and safely.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions to complete work assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure quality workmanship is maintained, meeting or exceeding established productivity standards.
  • Accurately document work performed, including labor hours, materials used, and any additional information required on work orders and other forms.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment and systems, providing feedback on equipment performance and condition.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure all equipment operates reliably and safely.
  • Serve as a Hazmat Operations Level Responder, ensuring compliance with safety protocols for hazardous materials.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, industry regulations, and operational guidelines during all maintenance activities.
  • Follow all departmental and company policies and procedures to maintain consistency and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Shop Foreman, Lead Mechanic, or other members of management to ensure the smooth operation of plant functions.
