About The Position

We are currently seeking an experienced and talented maintenance mechanic. In this position you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all machines used for production. To succeed in this role, you should have a solid knowledge of basic mechanic’s tools, service, and diagnostic equipment. Our ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and team skills. Job Overview Ensures maximum equipment uptime and operational efficiency by specializing in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of manufacturing machinery. Able to ensure that machinery and other equipment are in excellent operating condition.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform mechanical repairs
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office Applications such as word, excel, and computers
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Organizational Skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively
  • Work effectively in fast paced environment
  • Work effectively as part of a team
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others

  • This is a highly active, hands-on role where endurance is crucial to maneuvering in restrictive manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience repairing, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on machines.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot machinery and perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Read, interpret, and follow instructions on operation manuals.
  • Maintain a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
  • Clean, repair and install equipment and parts as needed.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations (OSHA)
  • Perform general maintenance work on buildings as assigned.
  • Responsible for cleaning and greasing machines on a weekly basis
  • Inspect hoists and forklift weekly
  • Assist cleaning DCU ducts weekly
  • Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls, etc.
  • Collaborate with others to ensure issues and repairs are being done in a timely manner
  • Check the functionality of safety systems
  • Keep track of replacements parts for machines and advise when warehouse supplies need to be ordered
  • Cross train on equipment and conduct fire extinguishers and eye wash station monthly inspection
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections, including machines, forklifts, filters, etc.
  • Use the checklists to perform weekly machines preventive inspections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
