About The Position

Responsible for inspection, installation and repair of machines used for production and within the tool room and maintenance machining areas. In addition, build and re-build equipment for various manufacturing needs What You'll Do: Follow specified maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair production machinery and tools Utilize Plex to document appropriate downtime codes Troubleshoot, isolate and repair manufacturing machinery & equipment Use the following equipment safely: Basic Level Hand Tools Hand and Surface Grinders Wheel Puller Torches Pipe Threader Hydraulic Jack Welders Scissor Lift Boom Lift Lathe Forklift Milling Machine Drill Presses Basic troubleshooting of both welding equipment and systems Help develop specific maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair production equipment and tools Proactively participate in continuous improvement efforts and drive process, tooling, and equipment enhancements that will improve production efficiency and product quality Basic knowledge of welding applications (MIG, Spot, Stud, etc.) Complete and manage work orders via the Plex systems Perform preventative maintenance and provide input on updates to preventative maintenance schedules (with guidance from a Weld Maintenance Mechanic level II or level III) Basic level robotic experience (robot movements, navigate/troubleshoot common basic level issues utilizing the teach pendant Basic level knowledge of lubrication processes (functionality, correct type, when to use) Ability to use common hand measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, feeler gages, etc) When and Where: This will be a 3rd Shift / 10:30PM-6:30AM position located at our Plant in Holland, Mi. Occasionally, this may require you to arrive early, stay late, or work on weekends, outside of our regular hours, to ensure we successfully meet customer needs, deadlines, or urgent requests.
