1st SHIFT Manufacturing Maintenance Technician Job Details Job Type Full-time Houston, TX Description This is a first shift position from 6:00 am - 6:00 pm (THURSDAY-SUNDAY). We are looking for a Maintenance mechanical Technician to undertake the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plant machinery and equipment. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in the manufacturing industry
- Good understanding of mechanical systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, standard appliances, and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
- Desire to learn, asking questions.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance routines on all plant machinery and equipment, such as, motors, gearbox, pumps, etc.
- Able to perform hands-on repairs and installation of machinery parts, such as bearings, pulleys, and mechanisms.
- Knowledge of plumbing installations (CPVC and Threated).
- Strong knowledge of LOTO will be needed.
- Use of forklift, man-lift, power tools
