About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic III is responsible for assisting management in the execution of the activities of mechanics engaged in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding processes packaging, facility and auxiliary support equipment, structures, utility systems, buildings, and grounds processes. This role also executes by assisting in the planning and execution of work orders by performing routine spot checks and coaching daily, weekly, and monthly.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of Maintenance experience (Food Industry preferred)
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends & holidays
  • Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS System (required)
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish (preferred)
  • Ability to frequently lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Strong interpersonal, written & verbal communication
  • Moderate exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises, may vary based on location
  • Comfortable working in hot, cold, loud, wet, and/or cramped manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail, emphasizing precision, time management, planning, analytical, & organizational skills
  • Ability to execute department priorities, workload, assignments, & meet multiple deadlines
  • Takes initiative & proactively seeks opportunities for improvement in process & workstreams
  • Ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment & maintain accountability of results

Responsibilities

  • Assists mechanics and contractors in maintaining and repairing building utility systems, such as electrical wiring and controls, heating, cooling, and ventilating systems.
  • Assist maintenance team members engaged in installing, servicing, and repairing all plant equipment.
  • Performs related work as required to sustain and improve the Preventative Maintenance program by providing and executing improvement recommendations.
  • Assists in providing recommendations for maintaining storeroom inventory levels and requisitions of spare parts, materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Verifies and reports completed work to management for conformance to the craftmanship of mechanics, blueprints, specifications, and standards.
  • Assists in investigating, analyzing, and resolving technical issues on the production floor.
  • Leads, trains, monitors, and supports mechanics on any maintenance activities on processes, packaging, facility, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Train and lead Operators, Mechanics, and Supervisors on technical procedures related to highspeed bottle manufacturing and packaging
  • Create SOPs for troubleshooting machines, and upload them to the CMMS system, responsibility for machine reliability and meantime before failure
  • Work directly with plant leadership to develop and execute projects involving continuous improvement, upgrades, and the resolution of re-occurring problems
