Maintenance Mechanic II

About The Position
Under the direction of the Supervisor, assists in maintaining shredding equipment and other facility assets to maintain production.
Responsibilities
- Daily inspections of any and all equipment, including but not limited to: conveyors, shredders, supply chain, outlets.
- Regular intensive cleaning/up-keep of company assets.
- Regular preventative maintenance which may include housekeeping, monthly safety inspections, fire safety, fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, fans, lights, plumbing, storm drain cleaning.
- Daily logging activities, inventory, and other essential measurable assignments and information.
- Practice safe measures with adequate personal protective equipment PPE.
- Regularly practice machine shop tooling skills such as but not limited to welding, plasma cutting, grinding, drilling, milling, and other power and pneumatic tools.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
