About The Position

Collins Aerospace is looking for a Maintenance Technician II who is responsible for supporting a variety of maintenance operations including production and facilities equipment as our San Marcos, TX facility. This position works onsite in San Marcos, TX. What you will do: Work 1st shift hours Monday – Friday (7am- 3:30pm) Open and close wastewater treatment as operator. Work at heights, with chemicals and in confined spaces. Check for proper chemical balance and environmental compliance. Perform daily WWT tasks and activity. Performs Preventative maintenance on all types of Production and Facilities equipment. (Including vacuum furnaces) Performs maintenance service and general support duties requiring a high degree of initiative and personal judgment in diagnosing problems, identifies corrective action, scope of task, selections of work methods, and research necessary information and equipment to accomplish the task. Completes required preventative maintenance tasks. Performs installations, methodical troubleshooting, problem solving, tear down, repair, re-assembly and test, fabrication and/or replacement of worn or broken parts of factory equipment and facilities in accordance with OSHA, NFPA, and/or established shop practices. Provides support for air compressors, boilers and HVAC systems (Closed loop systems). Performs plumbing activities to the standard threaded pipe practices as well as PVC and sweated copper connections requiring the use of power threading machines, cement, and/or MAPP gas torch. Performs checks on wastewater treatment facility for proper chemical balance and environmental compliance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma with 2 years of relevant experience Is required
  • Experience with basic computer software (word and excel).
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic experience conducting wastewater treatments and usage of pH, conductivity, and hardness testing equipment.
  • Welding / Fabrication Experience
  • Experience utilizing PLC controls, perform basic external diagnostic and repair PLC controls.
  • Basic CNC equipment experience
