About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II High Pressure. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility. Maintenance Mechanic will do general repairs around the facilities specializing in High Pressure piping & systems. Uses electrical, pneumatic and hand tools. Maintains maintenance item inventories. Orders parts and components. Coordinates with and directs contractors and vendors performing facility and equipment maintenance. Implements preventive maintenance program.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution required
  • 2 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with high pressure
  • Experience working with basic hand tools.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to safely operator hand tools
  • Read and interpret blueprints and tape measurers
  • Basic Math & Basic computer skills for accurate input.
  • Valid drivers license
  • Lock out, tag out training and experience
  • Confined space training and experience
  • Safety training and experience
  • Forklift training and experience

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution required
  • 5-10 years experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Plumbing experience
  • High Pressure gas experience – 120 psi up to 20,000 psi
  • Maintenance / upkeep of all gas pumps and related systems - rebuilding of pumps
  • Adding to gas system plant wide for upgrade / changes / additional cells / equipment
  • Trouble shoot, repair and maintain all types of regulators, valves, gas booster pumps and relief valves
  • Assembly of test stands, installing components, tubing between components
  • Coning and threading of high-pressure tubing
  • Assemble and maintain high pressure lines throughout facility

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled maintenance duties and some repair work.
  • Minor grounds maintenance as needed including some snow removal.
  • Maintain necessary maintenance records using computer system.
  • Operate common hand and power tools, such as hand drill, saws, hammer, pliers, and wire cutters.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment under the maintenance department’s jurisdiction, such as forklift truck and snow blower.
  • Lead a wide variety of duties including painting, carpentry, mechanical or general utility work, as required.
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs or installations, such as sink traps, leaking faucets, faulty air or vacuum lines, and other general preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Work from ladders and scaffolds, as required.
  • Assist other maintenance personnel.
  • Support safety team, Confined Space, Hazmat, Crane/Hoist, and High Pressure Testing, Hot work permitting, forklift and lock-out-tag-out processes.
