We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Mechanic I to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our office at 14207 Del Monte Blvd. in Marina and some job-related travel may be required. GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Mechanic to provide support to one or more facilities. This position is responsible for fixing and maintaining all equipment used in the collection and processing of material. This position is responsible for repairing and operating all equipment efficiently while observing all safety protocols to ensure that operations run smoothly.

Requirements

  • Ability to work well with other employees in a team environment and communicate to ensure safety
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with heavy equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Welder certification or experience preferred
  • ASE Certification on electrical, diesel or CNG engines
  • ASE Certification on preventative maintenance
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide full-service preventative maintenance to Company equipment including trucks, trailer, loaders, forklifts, carts, bins debris boxes and associated equipment
  • Ability to read and document paperwork for maintenance, inspections and other work orders. Ability to understand and carry out written and/or oral instructions.
  • Maintain an accurate log of all work performed
  • Ability to use electric welder and gas/acetylene torch
  • Maintain a current and valid commercial driver’s license (Class B) and medical certificate
  • Adhere to Company procedures, safety protocols and company policies.
