About The Position

Seneca Foods in Clyman, Wisconsin is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic - Boiler Operator to join our team. Responsible for the completion of all maintenance activities in the Boiler Room area.

Requirements

Candidate should have basic mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to drive forklift or complete Seneca Foods Forklift training.
Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

A chemistry background is preferred.

Responsibilities

Ability to test and control boiler efficiency, water, and chemical levels.
Conduct routine checks on Boiler Room safety equipment.
Operate water supply, water treatment and waste handling equipment.
Maintain inventories and receive bulk products, record documentation.
Perform emergency procedures during power outages, severe weather, or fire.
Perform monthly inspections of fire prevention equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance on all power plant/waste house equipment.
Keep records up to date.
Troubleshoot machines or equipment to detect malfunctions.
Assist in the installation of machines and equipment.
Perform routine maintenance work.
May be required to run production equipment to relieve other personnel for breaks or fill in as needed.
Observe all Company work, safety and GMP policies.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
