About The Position

Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of a team environment in the automotive world? Adler Pelzer Group - a growing Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking a strong and motivated Maintenance Manager for the manufacturing operations in Port Huron, MI located 50 miles north of Detroit. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the personnel and equipment regarding activities with design, construction, modification, and maintenance of machinery in manufacturing so that throughput, inventory, and operating expense objectives are achieved. Note: This section is not inclusive. Other duties are assigned as necessary to support team goals. Please refer to the required list of skills and experience below. Education can be substituted with equivalent experience. Licenses and Certifications are preferred but not required.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in automotive/industrial manufacturing with particular strengths in electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Strong personal leadership, vision, organizational and communication abilities, technical and mechanical background desirable.
  • Knowledge of customer product line and internal manufacturing processes to include all functions from raw materials to finished goods, as well as equipment and machinery.
  • PLC programming, troubleshooting experience, robot experience.
  • Welding, electrical circuitry, mechanical machine repair.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the tasks, assignments, and schedules for personnel within his/her department.
  • Responsible for multiple plants - covering four plants and warehouse operations.
  • Analyze mechanical, electrical, and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action to maintain maximum production and quality.
  • Manage installation and refurbishing of equipment to ensure fulfillment to specification and safety.
  • Develop and maintain the Preventative / Predictive Maintenance Program.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on equipment to reduce downtime.
  • Oversee inventory of maintenance equipment and parts in line with budget.
  • Supports engineer changes to enhance production operation of equipment.
  • Manage and communicate projects including oversight of outside services.
  • Direct plant maintenance supervisors to meet company KPIs and budgets.
  • Participate to meet plant quality, safety, and environmental requirements as established by company policy.
