About The Position

Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and manufacturing world, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team and oversee the maintenance operations of our facilities ensuring that all equipment, systems, and structures are functioning optimally. Your leadership will drive the maintenance team to uphold safety standards, improve efficiency, and implement preventive maintenance strategies. This position is on-site in New Kensington, PA, 5 days/week with weekend support as necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience (manufacturing environment strongly preferred).
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a supervisory/lead role
  • Strong understanding of facility/mechanical fundamentals (electrical, plumbing, carpentry) and equipment maintenance.
  • Familiarity with automated machinery, PLCs, and preventive maintenance systems.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to flex schedule and support weekends/on-call as needed.
  • Ability to travel up to ~10% of the time, including occasional international trips to Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, facility management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical certification or associate degree.
  • Previous engineering experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work comfortably around machinery (including ladders) and in varying temperature conditions

Responsibilities

  • Lead, schedule, and support a team of maintenance technicians (potentially across shifts).
  • Train, coach, and manage performance to build a safety-first, reliability-focused team culture.
  • Ensure maintenance team adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment (e.g., cutters, pleaters, conveyors, gluing machines, compressors, HVAC, and related systems).
  • Maintain machinery to ensure it meets working standards; plan and manage repair and installation activities.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to detect, prioritize, and resolve issues.
  • Create, implement, and continuously improve maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
  • Collaborate with production leadership to minimize equipment downtime and meet output goals.
  • Lead breakdown response and root cause analysis to prevent repeat failures.
  • Support continuous improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and process efficiency initiatives.
  • Ensure the facility is safe, clean, and compliant with OSHA and applicable environmental regulations.
  • Ensure all department staff follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Track expenses and oversee the maintenance budget; support budget planning for tools, parts, and capital needs.
  • Oversee equipment/parts stock and place orders for supplies; coordinate vendor relationships for repairs and supplies.
  • Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation; prepare daily progress reports.
  • Track and report key maintenance KPIs (e.g., downtime, repair completion time, cost savings).
  • Attend maintenance Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs) and maintenance-related meetings; prepare documentation in advance and maintain consistent communication with maintenance leadership.
