About The Position

Quad is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at our Chemical Research and Technology facility in Valdosta, GA. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable performance of plant equipment and infrastructure. This position takes ownership of complex projects and plays a crucial role in motivating and fostering collaboration among maintenance teams and manufacturing. The role emphasizes technical growth, process improvement, serving as a mentor Utility Mechanics and Leads. About CR/T Founded in 1982, CR/T is a leading manufacturer of specialized resins used in ink production. The division focuses on formulating and producing EnviroTech inks, leveraging advanced rosin-based resin polymers to deliver high-performance solutions for printing and coating applications. Acquired from Arizona Chemical in 2013, CR/T has built a reputation for enhancing product quality, consistency, and cost efficiency. Through innovative resin technologies, the company continues to support environmentally conscious manufacturing while meeting the evolving demands of the ink and coatings industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Maintenance Management in a manufacturing or process setting.
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with boilers, compressors, HVAC systems, and cooling towers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) preferred.
  • Experience in industrial or chemical plant environments preferred.
  • Strong computer and programming skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance, reduce downtime, and identify data-driven opportunities for process improvement.
  • Oversee the upkeep of plant buildings and core systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, boilers, compressors, chillers, and cooling towers.
  • Establish and manage schedules for routine inspections and servicing of critical utilities and equipment to ensure operational continuity.
  • Administer the work order system to track maintenance tasks, manage spare parts inventory, and ensure timely resolution of service requests.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of maintenance technicians and supervisors. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning.
  • Address equipment failures with a focus on identifying and resolving root causes to prevent recurrence. Promote innovative and sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements. Champion a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and implement cost-effective strategies to maximize resource utilization and operational efficiency.
