About The Position

Happy Day Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead and elevate maintenance operations across our restaurant locations and distribution facilities. This is a leadership-first role responsible for building structure, discipline, and accountability within the maintenance organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong planning, scheduling, and operational leadership skills to improve systems and processes, drive efficiency, and reduce reactive maintenance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years leadership experience in facilities or maintenance operations
  • Broad technical experience related to building and equipment maintenance
  • Excellent planning, scheduling, and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of CMMS software
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial performance
  • Good communication and leadership skills
  • Experience coordinating and managing projects

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Develop the Maintenance Team
  • Supervise maintenance technicians and support staff
  • Establish performance expectations and accountability standards
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and evaluations
  • Build a culture of professionalism and ownership
  • Work Order Management & Scheduling (UpKeep)
  • Lead daily operation of the UpKeep system
  • Prioritize work orders based on urgency and impact
  • Develop weekly and daily technician schedules
  • Ensure accurate tracking of labor, materials, and assets
  • Preventative Maintenance Program
  • Develop and manage PM program across all locations
  • Ensure 100% PM tracking in UpKeep
  • Reduce reactive maintenance
  • Implement root-cause solutions
  • Asset & Capital Planning
  • Maintain asset registry and lifecycle tracking
  • Develop 1 and 2 year capital plans
  • Perform repair vs replace analysis
  • Manage capital projects
  • Budget & Financial Management
  • Develop and manage maintenance budget
  • Monitor labor and material costs
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Report financial performance
  • Inventory & Warehouse Oversight
  • Maintain organized maintenance warehouse
  • Ensure inventory accuracy
  • Prevent delays due to shortages
  • Safety Leadership
  • Develop and enforce safety standards and procedures
  • Conduct safety meetings
  • Ensure compliance and investigate incidents
  • Communication & Reporting
  • Provide weekly updates on backlog, PM, repairs, safety
  • Maintain project visibility reports
  • Communicate risks and constraints
