This role is an Onsite Role: This role requires full-time presence at our Oxford, NC office. Overview: Under direction from the Director, drives the timely and effective execution of all phases of equipment selection, installation and maintenance necessary to ensure reliable operations at target OEE. Leverages the site PM system to drive proactive efforts to increase reliability and uptime. Support the production of quality products in a clean and safe work environment, in the most efficient manner. Leverages interface with Packaging, Industrial Engineering, Corporate Engineering, Purchasing, Technical Packaging, Planning, other Revlon Sites (domestic and international) and Outside Vendors to meet production and manufacturing requirements and satisfy site service level performance.

Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering Bachelor's or Equivalent
  • 8-10 years of experience
  • Ability to establish and present yearly budget for approvals.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code and OSHA requirements.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of machine shop equipment, including lathes, mills, CNC programming and EDM processing.
  • Ability to read, interpret and comprehend complex mechanical/electrical schematics.
  • Technical of knowledge packaging equipment and systems.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Ability to plan, schedule and organize multiple task assignments.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate, train and direct exempt and non-exempt personnel.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical/electronic and programmable controllers.
  • Ability to read and interpret layouts and blueprint drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees Area Engineers and Technicians in the control of expenditures totaling over 7 million dollars annually.
  • Responsible to ensure equipment is available and capable for timely, accurate and quality production.
  • Operates within all budget guidelines and notes deviations when they occur.
  • Drives utilization of maintenance technicians to support operational needs across shifts.
  • Ensures all maintenance technicians skills matrices are accurate and reflective of their capabilities.
  • Selects (hires) and trains a staff of subordinate leaders and technical support personnel to meet department objectives.
  • Responsible for the preventative maintenance, repair, and modification of equipment and machinery totaling $112 million (GBV).
  • In concert with customer departments, recommends automation projects for capital budget submission, and coordinate execution.
  • Involved in the identification, purchase and installation of new packaging equipment and systems.
  • Prepares cost estimates in conjunction with Industrial Engineering department and maintains control of expenditures against approved Capital Tooling Appropriation projects.
  • Support the achievement and maintenance of GMP policies and ISP 9002 Certification.
  • Adheres to and promotes departmental safety program to achieve overall Site safety index number.
  • Generate TOA’s and CAR’s for funding of equipment and tooling and initiate routings.
  • Provide effective engineering support to enable achievement of Packaging Direct Labor Performance, Efficiency and MUV goals and objectives.
  • Provide effective engineering support to enable the achievement of Site Customer Service targets.
  • Responsible to ensure accurate details of work completed on all assets in site CMMS.
  • Mentors, coach, and drives the completion of RCA/A3 to address all major downtime events, safety incidents, and quality issues directly tied to equipment issues.
