Requirements

8+ years progressive industrial manufacturing leadership experience
Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent time and project management, organizational, production planning, scheduling, and analytical skills
Hands on experience working with a Computerized Maintenance System and preventative, predictive and proactive maintenance programs
Experience with process safety management and creating a culture where all accidents are preventable
Highly developed communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, mentoring and people management skills
Proven ability to build morale, lead change and continually improve the performance of the team

Nice To Haves

Experience with advanced maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, thermal, oil analysis etc.) and wear components an asset
Established PC & software skills in Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

Facilitating the Maintenance Department safety processes to achieve plant safety goals, including Zero Injuries.
Participating as a member of Plant Leadership Team.
Supervising plant maintenance organization including a Maintenance Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor, Planner/Scheduler, and Inventory Coordinator Coordinators.
Managing the plant maintenance program based on best practices, emphasizing effective planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
Planning, coordinating and prioritizing maintenance requirements in conjunction with operations departments to obtain minimum cost and high reliability.
Ensuring maintenance mechanics are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that maintenance procedures are accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
Communicating regularly with all maintenance team, both individually and as a group, to ensure two-way information flow.
Conducting employee performance feedback based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the maintenance team.
Maintaining and updates operating and training manuals for the maintenance department and supports mechanic skill development.
Utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
Relying on Supervisors and Planners for day-to-day operations.
