This position reports to: Operations Manager __ The work model for the role is: Onsite in Richmond, Virginia Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the factory Maintenance team in the planning and implementation of initiatives that maintain and improve the reliability, effectiveness, and/or efficiency of equipment, technical infrastructure, production lines, and/or facilities. Each day, you will develop and implement equipment life cycle management procedures for optimizing costs and profitability. You will also showcase your expertise by developing and proposing improvement projects for processes and production lines to reduce both ordinary and extraordinary maintenance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical engineering (or related technical field) PLUS minimum 5 years of progressive experience in maintenance within a manufacturing setting OR Associate degree in electrical technology (or related technical field) PLUS 7 years related experience OR HS diploma/GED PLUS 9 years related experience
  • Highly skilled with special focus on electrical test infrastructure as well as on future assembly automation, is required
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics
  • Overall Equipment Effectiveness troubleshooting experience
  • Demonstrated leadership in maintenance with 3rd party providers
  • Experience with assembly automation equipment
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • FIIX software experience
  • SAP experience, preferred
  • Spanish-speaking skills, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Proposing and managing the annual maintenance budget by monitoring the costs and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources and determining actions to cost issues as necessary.
  • Defining maintenance policies and processes that drive maximum efficiency of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities.
  • Developing and implementing life cycle management procedures for all new and existing equipment.
  • Determining maintenance plans for new production lines and recommends methods to improve reliability, ongoing maintenance, and safety of equipment, in collaboration with the Engineering department.
