Job Description Role: Maintenance Manager THIS IS A SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION Job Summary: The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems to ensure maximum productivity, quality, and safety while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (BSME preferred)
  • 5–10+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with 3+ years in continuous manufacturing preferred
  • Strong understanding of plant financials and performance metrics to drive cost efficiency
  • Hands-on experience with repair and maintenance of process equipment
  • Proven ability to conduct assessments, audits, and performance evaluations
  • Demonstrated leadership skills managing diverse teams across varying skill levels
  • Strong analytical, data-driven problem-solving and action-planning capabilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to influence outcomes
  • Experience improving KPIs (e.g., OEE) with strong troubleshooting and root cause/corrective action (RC/CA) skills
  • Background in preventive/predictive maintenance, KPI-driven leadership, and maintaining a strong sense of urgency and accountability in a safety-sensitive environment

Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Plant Manager and participates as a member of the Plant Leadership Team
  • Leads and supervises the plant maintenance organization (Maintenance Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor, Planner/Scheduler, Inventory Coordinators)
  • Drives maintenance safety programs to achieve plant goals, including Zero Injuries
  • Manages and oversees preventive and predictive maintenance programs using best practices
  • Plans, prioritizes, and coordinates maintenance activities with operations to ensure high reliability and low cost
  • Ensures maintenance staff are trained, equipped, motivated, and performing work safely and efficiently
  • Conducts regular communication and performance feedback to assess team competency and development needs
  • Utilizes CMMS to track work orders, spare parts, equipment history, and maintenance records
  • Monitors spare parts inventory, maintenance supplies, and maintains accurate documentation and records compliance
  • Manages maintenance budgets, analyzes performance data, and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements while implementing cost-saving initiatives
