About The Position

The Maintenance Manager oversees all maintenance operations within the property to ensure a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for guests and staff. This role manages preventive maintenance programs, repairs, staff supervision, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This is a hands-on position and is considered a working manager position.

Requirements

• Experience in building maintenance, engineering, or facility management, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
• Leadership and team management experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house.
• Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs.
• Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance staff and contractors.
• Respond to and prioritize maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, fire, health, and environmental regulations (OSHA/VOSHA and local codes).
• Manage inventory, and purchasing of supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate renovations and capital improvement projects.
• Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and compliance documentation.
• Work with housekeeping and operations teams to minimize guest disruption.
