POSITION SUMMARY: The Marathon Martinez Renewable Facility located in Martinez, California is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager- Crafts to oversee all maintenance crafts and all equipment repairs in adherence with all refinery policies and procedures. This position will also drive a culture for work to be completed safely, environmentally responsible, and cost efficient.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)
  • Must have at least 8 years of relevant experience in a refinery, petro-chemical or other related heavy industry.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft: Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE in the refinery (respirator), be able to physically perform all tasks in the field and take hair drug test and physical.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license. (MPC determines valid status.)
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC Card.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for future VISA sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all maintenance crafts and all equipment repairs in adherence with all refinery policies and procedures.
  • Drives a culture for work to be completed safely, environmentally responsible, and cost efficient.
  • Develops and manages a long-term infrastructure maintenance plan.
  • Develops, implements, and manages reliability programs in connection with the Reliability team.
  • Ensures compliance with the execution deliverables of RSP-1400-000 for Routine Maintenance.
  • Complies with PSM Mechanical Integrity requirements for responsible disciplines.
  • Supports a culture of high performance and personnel development through training, coaching, and mentoring of individual craft supervisors, foremen, and advisors.
  • Determines staffing needs for the budget plan period and adjusts throughout the year to manage the team and the workload, hiring as needed.
  • Monitors, tracks and communicates KPIs as determined by the routine maintenance team and RSP.
  • Provides inputs on and adheres to the management of the routine maintenance budget and headcount (in collaboration with others in maintenance leadership).
  • Develops and executes Craft TAR and Construction scopes in cooperation with the TAR/Construction teams
