About The Position

Maintenance Lead Position Summary Typical working hours are 6 PM - 6 AM (2-2-3 schedule). This position is 100% on-site in Winchester, Kentucky. Catalent’s Winchester location is the flagship US manufacturing location for large scale oral dose forms, with integrated analytical and development services. With 28 years of expertise in product development, technology transfers and commercial manufacturing, and roots in industry-leading Glatt technology. The Maintenance Lead reviews and prioritizes work order request from production and other depar tments. The Maintenance Lead will also be responsible for leading small scale process improvement projects. The Role Coordinate the daily shift activities of maintenance mechanics by working cross functionally with all departments to ensure alignment Will lead and document on - site classroom and hands - on training specific to maintenance and engineering activities. Will aid in determining process capabilities and bottlenecks, implement improvements, and develop contingency plans for capacity/productivity increases. Monitors key equipment performance metrics such as equipment downtime and reject trends. Will be required to communicate and work with vendors / manufacturers in ordering necessary supplies and equipment as well as collaborating with vendors / manufacturers regarding troubleshooting guidance on machines/equipment. Monitor and build strong safety culture, Identify hazards through Job Safety Analyses and support countermeasure implementation. Will provide a standardized shift report to the maintenance / engineering group at the conclusion of each shift. Will be responsible for proper and timely escalation of all challenges faced by their respective team. Other duties as required in support of Catalent Pharma Solutions high performance

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED Required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical, food, biotechnology, or chemical manufacturing environment required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot simple hardware and software problems.
  • Familiar with the use and operation of test equipment such as digital voltmeters, temperature probes, and pneumatic calibrators.
  • Prior experience with preventative maintenance programs or automated calibration management programs.
  • Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, and squat for an extended period of time.
  • Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and frequent use of computer monitor.

Nice To Haves

  • Strongly prefer an Associate's Degree in a technical major or vocational certificate in a related field.
