This position requires a leadership role of the daily maintenance operations in support of maintenance supervisor. This is a “hands-on” position in the repair and maintenance of equipment and machinery, work orders, requisitioning of repair parts, and supplies. This person should possess the interpersonal skills to work closely with company personnel, contractors and suppliers.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodation for disabilities may be made for one or more of the following: Examines equipment and machinery to troubleshoot for defects, determines course of action for repairs coordinating with maintenance mechanics and production to assure repairs are complete meeting production and safety requirements in an expedited timeframe.Completes tasks with a focus on special details and safety considerations. Takes responsibility of the expected KPI’s designated by the supervisor Ability to delegate work orders out of the CMMS program and set priorities Able to self-direct and work cooperatively with maintenance team to accomplish the assigned daily duties without direct oversight from supervision.Makes all necessary repairs, installs and/or rebuilds equipment and machinery.Operates in a safe and proficient manner a variety of tools and instrumentation, including but not limited to voltage tester, ammeter, megger, hand tools, power tools, maintenance computer, etc. used in the performance of the job.Operates all machinery to have overall knowledge of equipment for troubleshooting purposes.Assists in planning projects, PM schedules and other activities that need to be arranged for the maintenance team.Collect and store all documents from all maintenance personnel including LOTO paperwork, Forklift checklists, part removal forms, equipment installation forms and etc.Active member of the safety committee and responsible for the completion of safety audit work orders.Assist the team members, when necessary, on breakdowns and when servicing equipment.Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor concerning the direction in which the department will follow in the future.Facilitate team meetings when needed.Communicate with outside technicians when the extra support is required and notify the supervisor to make them aware of the situation. Follow all 5S department procedures which include but are not limited to; keeping floors clean of oil and debris, returning tools to proper locations, organize part pans, and performs other housekeeping duties.Occasionally use fork-lift to move parts.Attends all required job related training (internal and external).Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.Responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.Required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately.Seek opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results.Suggests waste elimination initiatives specifically related to the function and department such as recycling opportunities and elimination of paper waste.Performs other duties and responsibilities as required. Ability to understand welding principles and use a variety of machine shop equipment.Hydraulic/Pneumatic – principles of hydraulic and pneumatic power, hydraulic fluids, piping and sealing, reservoirs, actuators, directional controls, servo valves, pressure controls, volume controls, pumps, motors, filtration, air compressors, etc.Electrical – basic circuit laws, measurements and safety, circuit components, magnetism and electromagnetism, power distribution systems, AC power, motor control centers, buss ways, etc. Familiar with NEC codes. Ability to work with 480 VAC. Cooperation, attendance, dependability, initiative and attitude shall be considered in the overall evaluation of the individual. Other considerations for this position require this individual participate in available and relevant training. Must also be willing to help coordinate activities of outside contractors and vendors.
