About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Maintenance/Janitorial Supervisor to manage operations at a residential condo. The ideal candidates will demonstrate strong communication skills and have prior supervisory experience in maintenance or construction and janitorial, custodial, or related fields. The role involves collaborating with customers and vendors, conducting quality control checks, and managing scheduling and administrative tasks. Applicants must also hold a valid driver's license and be comfortable communicating via email, two-way radio, phone calls, and text messages. Key Responsibilities: Respond promptly to emails and phone calls to ensure clear communication with team members and property managers. Oversee a janitorial team, requiring a mix of leadership, organization, and communication skills. Review and submit timecards weekly. Order and pick up necessary supplies. Create purchase orders as needed. Maintain cleanliness of the premises. Paint the parking lot and common areas surrounding the building. Operate a pressure washing machine. Use a leaf blower or handheld blower as needed. Clean restrooms, parking lots, and walkways while restocking supplies. Remove and dispose of trash in designated areas and maneuver trash bins as necessary. Stand and walk for extended periods. Utilize a smartphone for uploading information online and communicating through email and text messages. Adhere to safety procedures and report safety concerns or building issues, such as burnt-out light bulbs. Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor or property manager. Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 8 AM - 5 PM Must have open availability for emergencies: after hours, weekends, and holidays. Compensation: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour Skills/Qualifications: Must pass a background check. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required. Previous experience in supervisory, maintenance, janitorial, or custodial roles is essential. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English. Strong public relations and communication skills are crucial. Applicants should be capable of performing basic manual labor, including: Cleaning common areas Pushing and pulling Frequently lifting up to 40 lbs. Carrying a minimum of 25 lbs. (up to 75 lbs.) Reaching overhead, bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing, stretching, and navigating stairs. Using a ladder to climb and standing for the duration of their shifts.
