About The Position

Apprentice to install, maintain, repair, troubleshoot, rebuild or fabricate machinery, will service and repair gear boxes; will troubleshoot, install, repair, rebuild and overhaul utility equipment, such as pumps, fans, hoist, hyster, and other support equipment; will perform basic carpentry and plumbing projects. The technician will know and safely operate all machine shop equipment; will use various test equipment, such as vibration meters, tachometers, dial indicators and utility support; will complete all paperwork and work order requests in a timely manner and document outcome of work orders as needed. The technician will perform maintenance-related repairs and volt/Ohn meter TPM responsibilities as needed. Additionally, the technician will monitor and maintain the fire system working with both internal and external resources such as contractors. The technician will be expected to fill in for any position in which they are qualified for when necessary. The technician will follow all ISO certification standards.

Requirements

  • Places safety first in all aspects of the job function.
  • HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Additional certifications or training preferred.
  • 0-3 years related maintenance experience or currently enrolled in college program related to the work at hand
  • Good working knowledge of computers
  • Must have the ability and know how to operate machine shop equipment
  • Have the ability to work from plans or blue prints
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make recommendations for improvement or repairs
