People • Customers • Trust We are seeking applicants for Maintenance Industrial Mechanic position on 1st (3AM to 3PM) and 2nd Shift (3PM to 3AM) in our Miami Gardens, FL facility located at 15600 NW 15th Ave, Suite A, Miami Gardens, FL 33169. SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining all converting and corrugating equipment to minimize downtime.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • At least 1 year of experience successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with repairing and maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC systems and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree and/or comparable experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery and equipment; particularly within the corrugated or packaging industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of maintenance tasks including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems on plant equipment.
  • Use maintenance knowledge to increase productivity, decrease downtime and waste.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections.
  • This position will perform a variety of maintenance tasks
  • Technicians work as part of a team to safely perform Preventive Maintenance Activities as well as answer break down calls in a Production Environment.
  • All Maintenance Technician positions are multicraft and training is provided to develop these skills.
  • Follow local, state, and national electric codes.
  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot programmable controllers and troubleshoot and repair all A/C and D/C drives and their control systems use.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan and schedule maintenance work, assign work to other maintenance classifications according to their abilities and limitations.
  • Maximize the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
  • Use maintenance knowledge to increase productivity, decrease downtime and waste.
  • Work with a sense of urgency to respond to machine downtime events.
  • Will be required to complete in-house training programs to develop equipment specific maintenance skills. The position may also require attendance at external training that may require occasional overnight travel.
  • Must be able to follow all safety and company policies that include lock-out tag-out procedures.
  • Report to work on time.
