About The Position

New Albany Housing Authority has an immediate opening for a Maintenance ll position. Job Summary: Performs a variety of maintenance at assigned housing development(s) with minimal supervision. May work independently or be assigned to a crew of workers. May be assigned to specific functions and duties requiring power and/or hand tools to perform general maintenance, repair, HVAC and construction in accordance with local code and Uniform Physical Condition Standards (UPCS). Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• At least six months of related experience and/or training
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions
• Ability to prepare short correspondence and reports
• Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide
• Ability to perform operations using units of weight measurement, volume and distance
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills
• Current driver's license and acceptable driving record for insurance carrier of agency

Responsibilities

• HVAC maintenance
• Plumbing repairs
• Electrical work
• Carpentry work
• Appliance repair
• Estimates time and materials
• General maintenance including door, window, woodwork, floor, wall and exterior repairs or replacement including work on roofs
• Performs emergency and overtime calls as required
