About The Position

Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs a variety of equipment and machinery to support manufacturing, packaging, and distribution operations. Diagnoses problems and recommends solutions. Uses knowledge and experience to resolve complex operating problems (some examples below) in a timely manner; reports other problems to Supervisor. Typical items include repairing various electrical, vacuum, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; performing mechanical calibrations and alignments; assembling and testing motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other machinery related equipment. Perform general and preventative maintenance of multiple production systems in and around the facility. Performs mechanical calibrations and alignments during preventative maintenance on equipment. Applies related knowledge to test and/or modify operational machinery and control equipment. Accurately completes daily maintenance reports. Maintains a clean and organized work environment and conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste. Follows safety policies and procedures; reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor. Requirements

  • One to three years related experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and able to quickly shift priorities as needed.
  • Able to work from verbal and written instructions.
