Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology preferred.
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, PLCs, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperature environments.
  • Comfortable working around food ingredients and allergens.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues on mixers, blenders, conveyors, packaging machines, and other production equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Recommend and assist with process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure all work complies with OSHA, GMP, and food safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • Work closely with production teams to minimize disruptions and support operational goals.
  • Assist in equipment installation, upgrades, and commissioning projects.
