The general function of the position within the organization is to perform work that is defined and related to the maintenance, operation and appearance of the building and the surrounding complexes in accordance with prescribed policies and procedures. This position is under close supervision.
Requirements
- Entry level knowledge of basic hand tools and skills
- High school Diploma / GED
- Performs medium to heavy work that involves walking, standing, stooping, lifting, digging, pushing and raising objects and also involves exerting between 20 to 50 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis and 50 to 100 pounds of force on an occasional basis.
- Any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background screening, drug and alcohol testing and may include a pre-employment medical exam.
Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance in areas such as basic, plumbing, painting, roof repair, carpentry, water main repair and installation; related to maintenance involving the repair of buildings and equipment.
- Ensure the entire complex is maintained including picking up litter around the complex; cleaning the parking lots; and cleaning sidewalks.
- Maintain parking areas; ensure proper function of entrance, nesting and exit gate arms; empty and replenish ticket dispenser; and traffic control.
- Operate and maintain heavy/medium equipment such as toolcat, bobcat, pickup truck, electric lawn mower, etc.; inspect safety of all equipment, machinery and tools
- Perform snow removal in the winter months; assist in the maintenance of grounds.
- Other duties as assigned
