About The Position

Employees with this qualification have basic industrial skills. They contribute to the maintenance of machinery and equipment, as well as doing basic duties around the plant related to maintenance, shipping, operations, and housekeeping. Having basic training and skills in one of the core maintenance disciplines (Mechanical, Welding, Instrumentation, or Electrical) is also encouraged.

Requirements

The ability to wear a respirator while performing certain job functions is essential.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including holidays, weekends, days, nights, shift work, long hours, etc.
Willingness to learn and assist where needed.
Must be able to take weekend call duty on a rotating basis.
Must be able to work overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

Support the company’s mission, value, strategic goals, vision, and objectives.
Follow established procedures for the assistance of maintenance and repair of all equipment while maintaining work area in a clean and safe condition.
Perform additional duties as required by supervision.
ISO responsibility within your department.
Understand and use appropriate hand and power tools, machinery and equipment to respond to equipment component maintenance requirements.
Maintain a good attendance record.
Take responsibility for assigned jobs by helping with planning and performing work correctly.
Perform the necessary routine maintenance to ensure the facility and equipment is operating properly.
Perform all maintenance activities in a safe, clean and efficient manner.
Knowledge of CMMS program and requirements
Ability to test and repair powder pumps
Safely and effectively operate lugger truck, street sweeper, zero turn mower, forklift and man lift
Replace and repair parts, rebuild equipment and align gears, shafts, pulleys and belts.
Perform inventory control of parts and equipment used from inventory.
Respond to all assigned maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) activities in accordance with the preventive maintenance plan.
Perform housekeeping duties required of maintenance staff including work area clean-up, machine and equipment clean-up, and various other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
