This Maintenance Generalist position is responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. The role requires the ability to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery. The successful candidate must be willing to learn Tyson SAP software for work order creation and daily documentation. Effective reading, writing, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to use math for work-related computations such concerning machinery and fluid capacities. All required job training must be completed. Applicants who have previously worked for Tyson may be considered for rehire up to three times if they meet specific rehire criteria, but not prior to 6 months post previous Tyson employment. Failure to attend or reschedule pre-employment processes (tour, drug test, health assessment, orientation) or a positive/adulterated drug screen will result in disqualification for 6 months. Internal positions are specifically for team members currently working at the Danville facility. For discretionary roles, internal team members must be out of their 90-day probationary period, have less than 6 attendance points, no serious disciplinary action (written or suspension) in the last 6 months, and have completed 6 months in their current position (for lateral moves).
